X-ray flaw detection is an inspection method that utilizes the ability of X-rays (or gamma rays or other high-energy rays) to penetrate metallic materials. Due to differences in the absorption and scattering of these rays by the material, the film is sensitized unevenly, resulting in images of varying blackness on the negative. Based on these images, internal defects in the material can be judged.
